Moonwalk™ for Netware automates and intelligently manages the migration of unstructured data from the NSS File System to additional tiers within the storage infrastructure.
Netware-captive files can be released for storage on Linux, Windows, NFS or UNIX, while users and applications remain unaffected. Moonwalk™ for Netware is fully integrated with the Moonwalk™ family of technology supporting interoperability with UNIX, Windows, Linux and NFS.
Netware data can be optimized such that older or less-used files can be automatically and transparently migrated to cheaper storage.
Moonwalk™ relocates the file content and ensures that the original file remains intact, preserving all file metadata including extended attributes. Empowering Netware Administrators to define, allocate and optimize storage using policies reduces the total cost of ownership while ensuring that data remains safe and immediately accessible.
