Moonwalk Inc. said today that it will be exhibiting its Moonwalk for Linux product at Novell BrainShare 2007 in Booth 725 of the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City March 18-23.

Developed to transparently manage the movement of data between primary storage and lower-cost devices, Moonwalk for Linux automates the migration of unstructured data from Linux servers to additional tiers within the storage infrastructure. Linux-captive files can be migrated to other storage devices and other file systems without any affect to users and applications. By allowing Linux administrators to define, allocate and optimize storage using policies Moonwalk is able to reduce the total cost of ownership while ensuring that data remains safe and immediately accessible.

“As a Novell Technology Partner, we feel that BrainShare is the perfect venue to showcase our Moonwalk for Linux product to an audience of IT managers, developers and business leaders from around the world,” said Peter Harvey, CEO of Moonwalk. “By migrating data to various storage locations based on its value, we are able to provide the systems administrators with greater control of their data and allow them to optimize their storage infrastructure.”

Moonwalk’s software is YES Certified and compatible with a variety of Novell products, including Open Enterprise Server, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Netware, Novell Client and Novell eDirectory.

BrainShare is the industry’s premier technical conference, attracting nearly 4,000 attendees gathering to learn about Novell, their partners and networking with the Novell realm. BrainShare 2007 provides IT experts with the tools and knowledge to help them manage, simplify, secure and integrate heterogeneous IT environments at a cost that is much lower than expected.
